How are genitourinary sarcomas treated?

Treatment of genitourinary sarcomas depends on the tumor stage and whether it has metastasized (spread to other parts of the body). Standard treatment includes the surgical removal of the sarcomas, a radiation therapy, and chemotherapy (if the stage is high). Sarcomas can sometimes be cured by surgery, or by the combination of surgery and chemotherapy and/or radiation.
