How do we ave wide pulse pressure in case of PDA ?

Two mechanisms. The pda increases LVEDV as you have blood volume that returns to the left atria thru the pulmonary vessels leading to increased systolic blood pressure via the starling mechanism . The runoff of the aortic stroke from the pda back into the pulmonary vessels reduces the diastolic blood pressure. Higher systolic and lower diastolic = wider pulse pressure
