How is MS General Surgery in SSKM, Kolkata? Seniors please enlighten
I am a Surgery pass out from RGKar. Currently there has been lot of changes in the units and it will take atleast a year to stabilize. Emergency case loads are plenty and managed my general surgeons only as superspeciality emergency is not routine. Sskm has a stable dept with good faculty and academics in most of the units. Elective hands on is satisfactory both for open and lap cases. My take Sskm> rgkar for next 1-2 yrs atleast.All the best

Sskm surgery very good…with good no of cases and hands on…plenty of cases in trauma centre…
His case was unique. He left AIIMS Delhi to join sskm. We Bengalis are homesick 
(there might be some other reason for him- may be he wanted to settle here in his hometown in future that’s why opted this clge , many factors play role)
