Hiii all
I am writing this post because now a days, we are seeing a lot of post regarding branch, toxicity, institution and handson.
Let me introduce myself. I am Dr Ankur Verma. I completed my ms gen surgery in 2021. And just after completing my MS, i got selected for MCh Minimal Access Surgery in AIIMS New Delhi. It got a very vast exposure of all cases.
But after 4 months of training, i realised one thing, if you are not happy and you are not at peace then no degree is worth it. So i dropped out. Now i am doing my practice which is good in every sense.
So guys, one thing you need to ask yourself. Is this degree worth enough?
In my opinion, take colleges which at at/near your home state because your support system helps you in adjusting.
In all college, you will be getting a subtle amount of toxicity (more in surgical branch). But it all depends upon you.
If you can handle stress, then you should continue your dream. But if you are not able to adjust even after investing a fair amount of time, then it’s time to move on. Life is very big. It has many more opportunities. It is merely a degree. Main thing is how you do in future. If you are good, then you can earn a good amount in any branch irrespective of college branch.
PS-i love doing laparoscopic surgeries. So i chose MCh MAS in AIIMS which was a dream branch for me.

Sir could u pls tell what to choose—Nbe Dgo or md radiology/derma/medicine from a private institute?if i am okay with all these branches…confused between dgo or md from a private college
