I appeared in PLAB 1 on march 2017. I had a total of 48 days to brace myself. I wasted about 30 days on OHCS (Specialities) and OHCM, only my last 18 were gold. I did following things in those days:
Khalid Saifullah 1700 twice,
Sush Unity twice,
About 16-18 mocks,
2 recalls
2 files of clinchers.
As a result, I was too much fed up with MCQs and wrong keys. It was an arduous task to rectify the answers, but every minute of that overhauling effort was worth it. I am not sure about my result, but deep down I think I have crossed the line (especially after seeing the solved answers).
For new plabbers, I will only advice 1700, mocks, recalls, Unity and clinchers (make your own notes of every chapter if you have time).
