I developed crepitus (crunchy sound) at 30 degrees of flexion/extension. It has become much worse over the last weeks. Now I can’t squat anymore and do my exercises where I have to bend my knee with my weight on it. The sound is unbearable and painful when I put pressure at that range of motion where it crunches. The crunching is always at 30 degrees.
I don’t buy the bullshit of air trapped in the joint causing the sound.
Did anyone have surgery for crepitus or had experience with debriment after surgery?
I am 3 months post op (acl and meniscus). At the moment I am waiting for my mri. I will have an artroscopy the coming weeks to remove a screw from my tibia so I thought maybe there can also be something done for the crepitus because I found there are surgical intervention for it.
