NEET PG 2021- AIR 1946

Coming from a private medical college in my State…to now having the opportunity to join the branch of my choice, in almost all Government colleges in the country, this journey has been truly rewarding and has only been possible because of MARROW ❤

My preparation story has been nothing short of dramatic…

My journey with Marrow began in June 2020. When due to lockdown, after many trial and errors , all else didn’t seem feasible to me so I decided to take up a Marrow Plan C subscription, ordered the printed notes and made it my primary source of preparation.

I was questioned by many for this decision too as they felt Marrow would be too vast and I would never be able to do it… yet being a slow reader myself I was able to do 4 revisions for the exam by April. And reached 97 percentile in the GTs. I was pretty confident that I would do well in April. But then the exam got postponed.

I was extremely frustrated and depressed to an extent that I completely took a break for almost two months at home.

Yet the knowledge I gained from Marrow stayed with me and I realized this when I started doing small consultations for people in my apartments. I was not only able to treat their ailments but literally explain everything from the physiology to the medicine of their condition…And the expressions of those eureka moments on the patients’ faces was priceless. They kept coming back and started circulating my number to their relatives and in no time I was running a small free opd in my house for all those who couldn’t afford going to the hospital. And I truly thank Marrow for that cause it has given this confidence of a Good Clinician.

Got back to my preparation again towards the end of June…and though my percentiles dropped (attaching the image) the goal was just persistence.

Was able to read only General Surgery before INI- JULY and Rohan Khandelwal Sir your notes covered the topic in such a wholesome manner that I was able to get a decent rank despite having the time to read only Surgery. And I thank you for that.

Cut to the day of the NEET exam…went through a lot just before the exam. The copy of my PR got misplaced on the way to the exam centre. I was denied entry into the exam hall and told bluntly on my face to appear for the exam next year… I cried and requested but obviously in vain. Luckily we had another 10 minutes left so my father managed to rush to a nearby internet cafe as I had a copy of it in my mail. We took the copy and I managed to enter the centre just minutes before the gates closed. In those few minutes I was so overwhelmed by the near miss that I had a brain freeze in the exam and almost wanted to breakdown. With 117 questions left to attempt and only 45 minutes to go…I lost all my hope. But then some magic happened. As I read the questions the Marrow notes flashed in front of my eyes, it was almost as if I could hear the faculty’s voices in my head. And I just went on marking the answers and completed the paper with still 2 minutes to go. At the end I was only glad about being able to complete the paper.

I was sure I’ll have to take a drop year given the situation I wrote the exam in… but here I am today with 162 correct responses and this rank. Only because of the crystal clear concepts at Marrow.

With immense gratitude I would like to thank all the faculty at Marrow Rakesh S Nair Sir, Sakshi Arora Hans maam, Ila Jain Khandelwal maam, Mukhmohit Singh sir, RaviRaj Stanlean sir, Shivika Sethi maam, Mayur Kulkarni sir, Chait Anya sir, Malcolm Pinto sir, Rebecca James maam, Ranjan Kumar Patel sir, Mohan Sunil Kumar sir, Utsav Bansal sir, Manisha Sinha Budhiraja maam, Akhilesh Raj Jhamad sir, Singaram Ashok sir, Krishna Kumar Solaiappan sir… and special thanks to Abbas Ali Sir and Rohan Khandelwal Sir whose guidance and motivational videos picked me up when I was about to fall and guided me in the right direction.

Also, a big thank you to Deepu Sebin sir and the entire team at Marrow for making such a beautiful and accessible platform for so many aspirants across the country.

I am indebted to you all for life ❤

Will miss Marrow everyday.
