I passed NEET PG 2021 exam & allotted MS General Surgery in a Govt Medical college

After 2 years of preparation based on online platform, I passed NEET PG 2021 exam & allotted MS General Surgery in a Govt Medical college. During internship, I had given duty of continuous 24-48 hours easily, but now I feel extreme fatigue even after 2-3 hrs of walking, I feel that my stamina is lowered multiple folds. Surgery residency is one of the toughest residency amongst all other streams. Probably this is because I have prepared 2 years sitting in my room with nearly zero physical activity. Now I am feeling anxious, how will I cope up with such hectic duties with low energy level? Is it a serious issue?
Plz can anyone share how to increase my stamina, how to energize myself during this period of joining residency? Genuine answers needed, No mocking plz !!

you will get soon accustomed to it…there is no other way…initial days are more tiresome than later because you are still not at home with what you are supposed to do the next step…Once you spend considerable time in the ward you would develop the reflex of what is going to happen and what you have to do…once you develop this sense of anticipation you would feel less exhausted…as of now more than just hustling around, keep a close eye on how things are taking place in which order…everyone goes through this phase in 1st yr…and whatever discipline you are from, correlate things you are doing manually with looking into it clinically as well…interact with your seniors and batchmates about whatever case you are handling…give your opinions in all cases no matter how stupid it may sound…things will start to get soft then

Dont worry, it is due to sudden workload u got, it is just like u started direct running from 1st day of start of exercise without warm up days… Ur body will become familiar with this workload slowly, finally u Will do all comfortably… 👍…make starting of ur day with basic stretching exercises and at least 45min of morning walk

irespective of ur night duties

Don’t worry…just enjoy your duties n your residency n have full zeal of doing it…after six months u will start loving standing continuously for 12 hours even…So Best wishes

If any one is working hard in residency it will pay you in your entire life. Every senior who is on top today they worked hard during their residency. Nothing new
