I see no reasons to discriminate in CMGs and IMGs, as soon as people pass the same exams let the best win , they should combine the spots because the patients will not be treated differently if they see an IMG or a CMG. Should we all move to Bc or Quebec? Uof T did not post yet Program description released some good, some not good. Focus on FM,Internal, Psych, Peds. Lots and lots of branding . I was hoping for more, let’s see what they update. In the regular stream (contingent régulier): R-1 Admission to residency training programs in Québec via CaRMS is limited to graduates of accredited medical schools in Canada and the United States of America and International medical graduates who complete the equivalence process of the Collège des médecins du Québec. These graduates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada, and must not have undertaken previous medical postgraduate training in Canada or the USA. International medical graduates must also prove that they are « Quebec residents », as defined by the Quebec ministry of Education (ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur). IMG candidates who do not correspond to these criteria must contact the Quebec faculties of medicine directly to enquire if they may submit an application for admission via the particular stream (contingent particulier).
