if there is history of 2 pre term labor and conization, then we should first check the length of the cervix by usg or directly do the cervical cerclage?
dr mehak…the q which you afe rferring had preterm labor at 30 and 32 weeks respectively and for history based diagnosis - we need h/o 2 extremely preterm labor< 24 weeks and hence in that Q cervical length was measured to confirm the diagnosis of cervical incompetence before doing cerclage
But my main query is if the patient has history of conization as well then should we go directly for cerclage?
Thankyouu ma’am
no…only on diagnosis of cervical incompetence- either based on history/ usg criteria/ examination criteria- cerclage should be done
