Is statin recommended in diabetic patient aged 40-70 yrs lifelong even after achieving very less LDL (less than 30 mg/dl) with intake of moderate intensity statin like atorvastatin 10 mg for more than 5 yrs??
Or statin should be stopped if ldl become very less??
Is there any chance of hemorrhagic stroke with very low ldl?
Continue lowest possible dose of moderate intensity statin even if LDL is low than target
Thus is where there is no recommendation…society feels its the discretion of the treating doctor
