Its a case of unsafe CSOM with intracranial complication of sigmoid sinus thrombosis.

In this clinical entity, pitting edema on mastoid is called Griessenger sign.

Why it is not mastoiditis?

  1. Headache points towards intracranial complication

  2. In mastoiditis, there is no pitting edema on mastoid… there is just congested mildly edematous skin over mastoid but not pitting.

Sir why not Cavernous sinus thrombosis?
