I’ve done the main videos and understand the direct behind these, but fail to get the applied questions solved.

Could you please answer under what different circumstances are the following entities to be used.

  1. Odd’s Ratio (while doing case control, but where to be applied?

  2. Relative Risk

  3. ARR

  4. Attributable Risk

Honestly sir they all seem to be same to me when it comes to application.

Yes they are same, at this MBBS, prePG level…

Just remember:

To find association

  • in case control study: do odds ratio

To find association

  • in cohort study: do risk ratio (or relative risk- same name)

For Others, just remember formula… they basically tell excess risk in exposed group compared to other group
