Your eyeball are covered and protected by your eyelids. The eyelids protect eyes from mechanical injury, and been dry up by atmospheric air.
Your eyes must be moisten at all time. The moisten water is secreted by “LACRIMAL GLAND”. Tears are the secretion of the lacrima gland. They continually bathe the CORNEA. They help to clear it of foreign particles and keep it from drying out, which would result in blindness. Two lacrimal glands, one over each eye, lie behind the eyelid. They pour out their fluid through several small duct in the underside of the eyelid. When you open your eyelid, the atmospheric air dry the cornea, then a need to blink. Each time a person BLINKS An eyelid it sucks a little fluid from the glands to make the cornea remain moisten.
If you dont blink your eyes it start stinging you. When you are riden a motorcycle, your eyelid wil contract and you blink continously…
