Don’t divert your attention to IMS.
Let say medical college dean are IMS officials, did they support you? Will they hear from you?
Devvi setty sir’s suggestions to delay neet and give incentives are being heard… now only people like him will be sitting as IMS officials.
Rajat sir’s thought process is another example…Even our health Minister is doctor on paper.
The bottom line is we doctors don’t care about our juniors. Most senior doctors involved in policy making are not doing covid duties they are just making orders to junior doctors…
According to senior doctors junior doctors have no human rights…

I dont knw why people think IMS wont be political and wont bent to govt will! Theyll be like any other IAS or IPS
in that way if u say, our health minister who is a MS was seen promoting that coronil tablet shamelessly a few days bck. But the point it who say tomorrow u get some guidelines about covid. Who would u believe more, if it’s issues by Dr Harshvardhan or if it’s issued by yogiji. Although we all know once politics comes into scene, the mind stops working, but atleast it will be better relatively when desicions come from a person who knows about the medical system than some babu from bihar whoes only achievement in life is to study 12-15h a day about topics unrelated to medical science
Govt does not take decisions Independently without taking into consideration suggestions of renowned personnel.They have pannel,cabinets having renowned personnel from all sectors… including health sectors. If they are dealing with any health related matters,they ask the opinions of ppl who belong to tht sector.
Just use common sense… being a non medico can they affort to disregard the opinions of medicos? Specially during health disaster times?.
Still having ims is better than no IMS… at least some respite from burocrats making decisions all the time… But much depends on how IMS is structured… Like ias, if we have one independent health officer at district level thus making CMO free from collector and all health admin post filled by ims cadre doctors then most welcome…
