in nonpalpable hernia we do USG then why IOC is MRI in sportmens hernia which is also nonpalpable.?
You do usg first but MRI is IOC
MRI has the best contrast resolution among all modalities.
Sportsman hernia is often very subtle defect.
That’s why it’s best to do MRI.
In all hernia also, MRI can be done but due to widespread availability of USG and lower cost, USG is usually used instead of MRI.
