My dad is a hypertensive patient for past 10years

Respected faculty

My dad is a hypertensive patient for past 10years. Initially he was on ACE inhibitors. But as he had cough as aside effect of the drug… he was switched on to Telmisartan. Last year, he started taking Olmesartan medoxomil 20mg due to unavailability of Telmisartan.

Following which his micro albumin level and Creatinine levels shot high.

11/07/2020
Micro albumin 4.0
Creatinine 0.7

12/07/2021
MicroAlbumin 68
Creatinine 1.3

So , I changed to Diltiazem 30mg BD. Is that enough? Or any other drug? Kindly opine.

First do URINE ROUTINE analysis to look for other cause of AKI AND A BASELINE USG KUB/ABDOMEN TO LOOK AT KIDNEY SIZE

As of now stop ACEi and ARB

History and symptoms to be reviewed
