Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is emerging public health problem Non Communicable Disease in India . India is the first country in the world to identify the need for action for NAFLD. The government of India has realized that existing NPCDCS programme strategies can be aligned to achieve objective to prevent and control NAFLD through behavior and lifestyle changes, to provide early diagnosis and management of NAFLD, build capacity at various levels of health care for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of NAFLD.

After successful organization of 1st National webinar on Integration of NAFLD into NPCDCS for implementation at various state and district level covering primary and secondary level of health care. The 2nd National webinar will be focusing on implementation at concerned department of medical college. Medical Colleges play significant role in diagnosis, management and follow up of NAFLD.

With this background, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in association with Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) is organizing National Webinar.
