As a rule because Radiation exposure is high in CT - USG is preferred in pediatric age group. Few exceptions I can think of is Suspected solid organ injury in a FAST positive hemodynamically stable child, Vascular abnormalities, Retroperitoneal abnormalities/ Lymphoma - but these are again rare in pediatric age groups
