These days sonologists diagnose PCOD by USG only… many time I have seen ‘probe tenderness over this/that area’ alongwith a diagnosis 
. There was a step named palpation during clinical examination. We never needed any probe
the story is one-sided. Should the report be shown normal, the referring doctor is displeased as (s)he demands an abnormal report to justify his subsequent appendicectomy.
