Overactive bladder (OAB) is a situation in which a person feels the urge to urinate all of a sudden.

Causes of overactive Bladder -

  1. Overweight

  2. Weak muscles

  3. Problems in nerve /nerve damage

  4. Kidney disease

  5. Urinary tract infection (UTIs)

  6. Bladder stones

  7. Diabetes

  8. Usage of certain medications

  9. Intake of caffeine and alcohol

Symptoms -

  1. Frequent urge to urinate

  2. Visiting washroom frequently to urinate

  3. Urinating in bed

  4. Leaking of urine

Treatment -

Before consulting a doctor make sure to note the number of times you urinate in a day , amount of urine passed plus amount of bevarages and food you intake for the doctor to understand the condition well.
