People are spending 20-25k on career counseling and these counselors just read out stuff from previous allotments. Most of them are non medicos who have no idea at all about any branch/ scope and they just give you google search based info. Why don’t senior medicos start this counseling trend for our juniors, that too at a cheap price of say around 5-6k?

Why does it have to be a paid service. Most seniors help out their juniors for free. It feels like creating a market for a thing which should not be in demand. The least we can do as medical fraternity is help each other. If we start charging money for providing basic information about counselling and the college preferences to our juniors, then it is a very sad time to be alive.

Yeah it can be offered on this group. I personally had taken career councelling it was 25k down the drain it is absolutely useless. Representatives from the state can tell about their state colleges and people from INI colleges can tell about thier experience.
