Please do not opt/join any DNB institute unless and until you have visited the college/department by yourself ! This is DNB ! Here the place & the college do matter as most of them are trust/private/corporate hospitals & conglomerates. (Unlike MD/MS where govt hospitals make an easy choice to opt from).

Phone calls or hearsay wont suffice. This is a professional course & people including your friends (in those hospitals whose school of thought might be radically diff from yours) might deter & discourage you from taking up any branch/hospital resulting in you drifting away–> taking up something else --> regretting later on & forever.
- Shortlist your course/branch/college.
- Visit them right away
- Get first hand information
- See where the residents/doctors passed out from the institute are professionally placed in life.
- Listen to yourself. You will regret less or may be never
(Yes nobody asks you the institute from which u passed except YOUR own self. Once u start asking urself, u wl put an effort & go there before making a decision)
Branch > Institute > language/stipend/food/location/et al
Its been 2 months since exam. 4/5 hospital visits wont take more than 2 weeks or make any bigger hole in ur pocket. This is ur future. Why not spend thousands & minimise the risk by visiting ?
I just suggested. To go or not is a personal call. Many people have ended up leaving their seats. So yeah !
