Sodium have the propensity to increase blood pressure but in some cases you can do that with close monitoring of the patient, most especially patients with diabetic conditions and with increase blood pressure may require NS
I can’t get this, some people are saying dextrose saline. Normal saline is water and salt then D/S is sugar in water as I may describe it and the same salt. In case of HTNsive pt low salt intake is required and both contains it, so I think in pt with high BP Ringers Lactate should be given and if the pt is weak it can be alternated with 5% dextrose water. my opinion
No bcoz it increases the blood volume by allowing high fluid retention hence it will increase the bp
first of all salt does not increase your bp rather it decreases it if it proper genuine salt.
