After 34 weeks pregnancy, may be prolonged up to 37 weeks if there is adequate BP control, and delivery is recommended at 37 weeks of gestation. However, in the following events, pregnancy is terminated regardless of the period of gestation:

Uncontrolled severe hypertension

Eclampsia

Pulmonary edema

HELLP Syndrome

Renal dysfunction

Coagulopathy (DIC)

Abruption

Fetal compromise

In this patient with severe pre-eclampsia, ie, systolic BP ≥ 160 mm Hg or diastolic ≥ 110 mm Hg, immediate delivery after single-dose steroids is indicated regardless of the period of gestation.
