Bro there is a difference herein to understand
1.Use of prophylactic anti epileptic in early phase of brain trauma has no effect on post traumatic seizure which occur after or before neuro sx
2.However use of antiepileptics as a treatment protocol for post traumatic seizure has role in reducing seizure
So to conclude let’s say in ER THERE IS NO ROLE FOR PROPHYLAXIS OF SEIZURE HOWEVER IF SEIZURE OCCURS …WE HV TO GIVE ANTIEPILEPTIC TO CONTROL IT
