if we do staging of endometrial cancer after doing surgery then how do we know which surgery to do( simple hystrectomy with bso or if stage 2 and above then wertheim hysterectomy or radical hysterectomy)?
Surgery is the gold standard for staging endometrial carcinoma. Endometrial carcinoma is surgically staged according to the Joint 2010 International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO)/TNM classification system. Total extra fascial hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy and pelvic and para-aortic lymph node dissection is the standard staging procedure for endometrial carcinoma.
