Since non functional tumor(75%)

since non functional tumor(75%) are more common than functional adrenal carcinoma…and non functional tumor presents as pain…why is Cushing syndrome more common presentation ?

What you are referring as non-functional tumors are adenomas (basically incidentalomas); which usually remain completely asymptomatic and usually picked up during imaging for another issue.

No reason to cause pain as such unless they are infected or inflamed.

Most common manifestation of adrenal carcinoma (if it’s symptomatic) is Cushing only due to production of cortisol.

thanks for answering…but my doubt is even in adrenal carcinoma it’s mentioned that most common are non functional …then aren’t they suppose to cause pain rather than Cushing’s…

no most common symptom is Cushing
