Single-Leg Deadlift

Single-Leg Deadlift | Common mistake

Special thanks to the @moveu team for this video and the great demonstration!

The single-leg deadlift is a functional exercise that can be used for rehabilitation, as well as strength and conditioning purposes alike.

Almost all the load is on one leg, the other leg is only for stabilization.

Pay attention to what your knees are doing. Set up a phone and video yourself from the front. Does your knee collapse like the red arrow points to? Focus on preventing the collapse by driving the knee outward slightly.

Note: There are many possible causes for inward collapse of the knees (valgus collapse)

Log-in to the Strength Training app and learn all about “valgus collapse”, watch the mistakes and the solutions for each problem.

Our goal is to help you understand better how the body move, enhance your understanding and transfer that knowledge to your clients.
