Suppose I am testing left semi circular canals by Dix Hallpike maneuver

suppose I am testing left semi circular canals by Dix Hallpike maneuver. nystagmus seen is vertical with torsion towards right side, then the affected side will be right ear and the nystamus here is non geotropic…am I right Ma’am?

When u are testing right side , right ear will be facing the ground . If post SCC of right ear involved Nystagmus will be vertical and tortional ( nystagmus due to vertical canals ie posterior or superior is always vertical ), it will be towards the right ear ( hyperactive side ) and since right ear is towards ground we can call it geotropic ie towards the ground .
