The chest CT scan findings/ report my boyfriend had that is the reason they are saying severe copd diagnosis is:
“The lungs are hyperinflated with severe bullous emphysemateous changes. No focal infiltrate”
What does this mean? Is anyone able to break this down? We have pulmonologist appt set up for him on 4/22. What are recommendations of questions we should be asking. He got results confirming he doesn’t have the aplha 1 genetic marker so that has been ruled out.

Do you know if he had a scan with contrast ? I don’t have the answer to your question. I have to have a scan and I’m super nervous about it. Prayers for you guys and that someone gives you answers
