Ileocecal TB

→ Infection of abdominal organs with Mycobacterium TB.

→ Affects ileocecal junction due to abundance of lymphoid tissue.

→ Can affects Colon, Liver, Spleen, Peritoneum, lymph nodes.

  1. Ileocecal valve appears fixed, rigid and incompetent

  2. Cecum appears conical in shape and shrinks in size

  3. Pulled-up cecum due to fibrotic changes in the mesocolon.
