Chronic Sinusitis
The organism isolated had the following charechters;
Gram negative
Oval diplococci with flat adjacent ends
Growth on Blood and Chocolate Agar as opaque non hemolytic colonies
Catalase +ve
Oxidase +ve
Non fermenting (glucose, sucrose, lactose, maltose)
DNAse +ve
Butyrate disc test +ve ( positive for butyrate esterase enzyme)
