The vision of new born at birth

THE VISION OF NEW BORN AT BIRTH

When your baby is born, her vision is not yet on point. He can see well at a distance of 20 to 30 inches. Beyond that, it’s very blurry. If you want to exchange looks, consider keeping a certain close to your face with his.

Very sensitive to light, the baby does not see colors but rather shades of grey. You could almost say that baby sees in black and white. Also, it does not distinguish the details: avoid a radical change of hair at this time, otherwise it may not recognize you.

He is very sensitive to movements. His vision kinda sucks on the sides, like he has blinders in some way.

BABY sight development at 6 weeks

Baby’s first month is living at the pace of a not yet clear view. And then, when baby is between 5 and 6 weeks old, he starts to gradually distinguish bright colors like red and green. It’s time to show him toys (like a mobile above bed) with very contrasting colors. So prefer black and white awakening games (for example), rather than pastel shades that won’t be frank enough for your child to see them correctly. Also think about getting these games close to his face, maybe he’ll even follow them with his eyes!

Can we talk about a clear vision at 1 months and up? Not really. If your face looks better to him, he is not yet able to discern all the details of it.

3 MONTHS: BABY’S VISION IS ’

That’s it, baby sees the items well enough to try to catch them! He seems more reactive when you put toys in front of him, because he simply distinguishes them much better. He’s starting to get the little details.

It’s at this age that he will start to be captivated by his mobile in bed, which he can set for long minutes that will tell you to be hours. The same is true for his blanket, that he will grow more! You can even start playing with him, inviting him to follow some objects by turning his head.

WHAT IS BABY AT 6 months old?

Before his 6 months, his field of view expanded. Baby is now able to better see what’s going on in her environment. Also, he can better see the relief and depth: your child can now evaluate the distance from an object.

Your baby sees colors better: it can tell the difference between light and dark colors. It also better distinguishes middle colors like beige, for example.

AT 8 MONTHS BABY SEE DETAILS ON THE FACE

And here’s your baby who can catch the items close to him! But be careful, if you change your room, you disappear from your baby’s field of sight. No wonder if he starts crying, since he can’t see you!

At 8 months old, baby now recognizes very well the faces that are familiar to him… of those who are not! Finally, he sees the details of your expressions and will try to reproduce them: laughs guaranteed!

1 YEAR BABY VISION: THIS IS IT, IT’S ON THE POINT!

There you go! Your child’s view is totally on point. The sharpness, relief, depth of field and colors are perfectly acquired.

So you have to wait a year for your baby to see as well as you (or better if you have a vision problem! ), from afar and close, details like the whole world around it. He can now explore the world…
