there are some students who got good ranks but still thinking of drop

Please understand…

Intelligent person opt the branch which matches your personality nd do a great job in that branch. Beleive me being a dropper is never easy, there is so much uncertainty, anxiety, depression, insomnia nd much more, you should be mentally very very strong.

You might think that next Neet exam is just after 5 months so let’s take a drop.

I am not totally against this but please think 100 times before taking this decision. If you are getting a good branch, take it nd get rid of this rat race. No branch is bad, it’s upon you.

Since next neet pg exam in 5 months.it is not that bad a decision to take a drop…Since the duration is less than 6 months …probability of getting good rank is good

Drop only if you are sure that you won’t regret whatever the result would turn out to be. I have seen many people getting ranks double of that they had last yr. Fewer examples of reverse as well.

Speaking from personal experience there would be many times during drop yr you would think that it would have been better if you picked seat last yr.

It’s a very difficult state of mind to be in.

It’s like mutual funds. Understand the risks before investing your time.

Do not compromise with your branch. For example, if you are sure you want medicine and you didn’t secure a good enough rank, do not compromise and take surgery, or orthopaedics. This decision will decide the rest of your life, don’t compromise with it. If the question was whether you can compromise with your college of choice, then yes, that is much more sensible and you should not drop a year for that. But opting for a different branch is a completely different issue.
