There was news in the media that a common PG entrance exam, NEET-PG is to be conducted for all medical colleges in the country including the institutions under the AIIMS and Jipmer, but AIIMS and Jipmer have conducted the entrance examinations separately on their own for admission to July 2020 Session… AIIMS and Jipmer have hitherto been conducting the PG entrance examination twice a year, one for the January Session and again for the July Session. But for the other medical colleges across the country, admissions are conducted only once a year and the intake is for only one Session… This parity should be stopped. There should be only one common entrance examination for all the medical colleges and institutions alike.
