:small_blue_diamond:Test Position: Squatting position.
:small_blue_diamond:Performing the Test: Have the patient attempt to stand up right. A positive test is when the patient has to walk hands up the thighs to achieve erect position.

:small_blue_diamond:Diagnostic Accuracy: Unknown.

:small_blue_diamond:Importance of Test: With weakness of the hip and thigh muscles, one is not strong enough to stand upright without the assistance of the upper extremities. This may indicate a contribution from the lumbar spine due to the innervation of these muscles and decreased core motor control in patients with low back pain.
