Dono tough h dono easy h it depends on your preparation

Both are equally heavy portions. But I can damn sure bet on UPSC CSE for the return of time, happiness and peace you invest on the process of study. The good name and fame is 100x higher in UPSC CSE than NEET PG. If u want fame choose IAS IPS or IFoS. If u want peace IRS, Auditing services are there.

Better do best in your own path… You are a doctor and you are no less than anyone… Be a best surgeon or medical specialist and you will have that respect in the society… For me a neurosurgeon/cardiologist is far ahead of any govt officer because you don’t need to lick anyone’s ass… You can be yourself…you wil save life and that appreciation is far far better than any other feelings in the world. … Imagine if any ias officer is given a order to transfer… He has to obey this but if you are a neurosurgeon, you don’t need to… You are boss, you have that knowledge that you can survive anywhere in india like a boss…

the traditional bureaucracy has disappointed the public . So lateral entry is important in the age of specialization to improve service quality. In developed countries expert, specialised people are recruited for a particular department.

In our area, recently a neurosurgeon is appointed by govt after decades, he is treated as god now… Even he is practicing outside but no one can say anything because they won’t get any other neurosurgeon here …govt is giving approx 4 to 5 lacs per months… But he is practicing and earning around 20 to 30 lacs per month… So for me be a best doctor and you can be yourself… You don’t have to depend on anyone…
