Updates from Dhulikhel Hospital Kathmandu University Hospital,Dhulikhel (2020/11/02)

Under THE PROJECT PPE, today we have distributed 72 complete set of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to intern doctors of Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS), Dhulikhel Hospital. The complete PPE set includes PPE body gown and shoe cover, Face shield, KN95 mask, gloves, N95 mask, 5 regular surgical mask and hand sanitizer (100 ml).

The event at KUSMS was coordinated by Dr. Parash Adhikari and Dr. Naresh Bhatta (President, KU medical student welfare council). On behalf of intern doctors Prof. Dr. Rajendra Koju (Dean, KU) and Dr. Parash Adhikari received the distributed materials. We would like to acknowledge Dr. Gaurav Nepal for his support in distribution process.

THE PROJECT PPE is coordinated by Rajesh Sharma and is an initiative of Nepal Medical Students Society (NMSS) in collaboration with Nepal Health Corps (NHC). Under ‘The Project PPE’ we will distribute 900 Personal Protective Equipments (PPE) including face shield, KN95 mask, sanitizer and gloves to frontline intern doctors of different medical college of Nepal. We are very thankful to our sponsor Tzu Chi Foundation for supporting this project and our partner Nepal Medical Association (NMA) and SDG Hub TU.

Under this project we have already distributed complete PPE set to intern doctors TUTH IOM, PAHS, NAIHS, GMC, KIST medical college, KMC and KUSMS, Dhulikhel.

We believe we young health care professionals and students can contribute to the society in times of pandemic and set a role model for today’s youth so that we achieve Universal Health Coverage 2030 and SDG3 in Nepal.
