What is baby doing in his mother’s belly?
For 9 months, baby has time to develop well in the womb. It’s time to get to mature but also to train. And from the 3TH MONTH, baby in my belly exercises his little muscles, his reflexes, he learns to move and react to external stimuli.

Baby in the belly: He’s yawning
From The 11th week, baby is able to yawn. And apparently, he loves this since he’s yawning 2 x more often than an adult. This is how it usually starts an activity. -
He sucks his thumb and captures everything he can
From The 3TH MONTH, the fetus is very busy with his arms and hands. He learns to grip what goes under his nose: the umbilical cord, his feet, his other hand. He sucks his thumb and touches his body and face. -
He breathes
As of week 17, baby is trying to breathe. He’s passing the amniotic fluid into his lungs. -
He looks
The baby in my belly doesn’t see much. From The 17th week, he opens his eyes when he is awake and closes them when he falls asleep. The information he perceives through the optical nerve is transmitted to the brain. It can discern shadows, movements through the tissue of the womb. -
He trample
He can’t walk yet but he’s developing the muscles of his legs. He’s taking a few steps, he shoots, he stretch, he’s falling… a little patience, soon I’ll be able to feel all his moves. -
He dreams
During the last term of pregnancy, baby alternate the phases of deep sleep and paradoxical sleep, like adults. In the meantime, he’s just dreaming awake… but what, that, impossible to know. -
He’s relaxing…
To the sound of the voice. From The 5TH MONTH, its senses are fully developed. Baby in the
Belly reacts to the sounds he sees. His heart rate soothes when he hears the voice and relax. A good reason to talk to him often.
