What is free exit?

In first round you have the option to not join the seat you have been alloted and the 25k won’t be taken away from you. This is free exit.
From 2nd onwards if a seat has been alloted and you don’t join it the 25k deposit will not be returned.
Do we need to pay fee immediately after allotment or after 2nd round
If you don’t join your alloted seat your security deposit won’t be forfeited. Applicable in AI R1.
