what is the difference between a highly experienced post mbbs doctor and a physician…?
was arguing with a senior and told him about my passion for gen med. and this question came.

As such no difference

But socially and peer pressure make us feel inferior so that we need a proper degree

You see, the difference between a post graduate degree and simple MBBS is the fact that in post graduate you get exposure to a variety of cases of your speciality and your clinical judgement gets refined… Your experience increases manifold…. You have the luxury of a senior analysing and correcting your mistakes in your initial days of residency until you become somewhat competent… “A highly experienced post MBBS doctor” … If he had undergone similar training as a non academic junior resident, then there’s no difference… But the fact of the matter is non academic JRs and Postgraduates do not undergo similar training… Perhaps this is the reason as to why a MD physician will be considered better than a “highly experienced post mbbs doctors “.

It is almost equal to an highly experienced ayush doctor as a duty doctor and a highly experienced mbbs doctor.

A highly experienced ayush duty doctor might be giving the correct Medicine without knowing why.

And on one special day when contraindications matter, that guy will kill the patient.

Mbbs duty doctor might not be confident, but he’s more than capable.

You will not get good salary with mbbs degree but with md degree you will get good salary anytime, but if you want to do private practice and ppl know you with your experience then you can earn more than md degree holder. So difference are there depend upon what you want to.।

As much as experienced BAMS/BHMS doctor and MBBS doctor

Degree Gives You Confidence And Self Satisfaction… You’ll Yourself Know Who You are

There is a huge difference. To know that difference one need to actually do a residency.

Inpatient care and ICU care is learnt only during residency
