What is the difference between stephen fowler technique and silbar procedure with respect to the blood vessels/testicular vessels?
In the first stage of Stephens-Fowler approach, the testicular vessels are clipped. Several months later, after collaterals are established, the second stage is performed during which the testis and its new blood supply is mobilized into the scrotum. In Silbar’s orchiopexy, microvascular anastomosis of the testicular vessels with internal illiac vessels is done after the testis is mobilised to the scrotum. Thank you.
