Why is it that drugs prescribed by doctors are more active & effective compared to pharmacist??

becoz the doctor is a specialist in the cure or relieve of the problem u are facing so he knows the actually precription to be given to u meanwhile pharmacist prescribe drugs according to written prescription from anywhere…
Even pharmacist who is close to be an assistant doctor or doctor itself?

pharmacist as we may have it prescribe(sometimes) and give drugs. some pharmacist can be quack

a doctor will do diagnostic tests and evaluation before prescription …a pharmacist will sell you drugs over the counter by simply toll the symptoms you present… most pharmacists will treat the symptoms instead of the cause…a good example is when you go to a pharmacy and you have a headache and they will give you painkillers for it…whereas a headache can be a symptom of a serious condition or disease

A doctor assesses you base on ur complaint and also carry out physical examination and test to know the actual cause of those symptoms or signs presented, so as to know the right combination of drugs to give… for instance other disease could present d signs and symptoms of malaria. While a pharmacist prescribes based on your complain which might not be malaria, but present signs and symptoms of malaria.

Stop this rubbish here, don’t cause any professional rivalry here. Doctors prescribed based on laboratory results but Pharmacists recommend based on signs and symptoms and if u come with laboratory results to the Pharmacist too, the drugs that will be given to you will be effective. Do you know how many times I have corrected prescriptions ordered by medical Doctors? So please be quiet if u don’t have anything to say or do.

  1. You have been to fake pharmacists or you have refused to heed to the instructions of the pharmacist or you have consumed lit of drugs which have created drug interactions and lead to your suffering. So you ate blaming the pharmacist.
  2. You do pay consulting fees to a Dr and by force you are bound to follow his instructions and felt better.
  3. May be you are a mischief monger out to create professional jealousy among the noble profession.
