Why the hb and hemotocreit immediately after gun shot wound is normal?
the question is why not ? 
immediately after a shot there isn’t significant bleeding that would rapidly decrease their levels, sometimes even the shot is not in a highly vascular area and with the pain the body goes into a nerogenic shock for a few seconds to minutes before profuse bleeding kicks in
Just got the answer from pathoma videos. When there is a gun shot the patient is gonna lose blood, if you take a sample in that moment you’ll find normal because the concentration remains the same, when u give iv fluids you will dilute the blood cells, thus decreasing its concentration… over time the bone marrow will compensate the loss producing more cells…
