Any tips on effectively increasing the speed of reading question stems yet still catching all the key points? Thanks guys…

First look at the answer choices, that will tell you whether the answer is diagnosis, workup, or management. Once you know what they are going to ask, read age, chief complaint…then I jump to physical exam finding (skip occupational, social alcohol, tobacco illicit drugs…unless they are pertinent. No nee to read all vitals as well unless necessary). I know this works because most of the questions I answer incorrectly are those that took me 100+ seconds. If I did a question in under 90 seconds they are almost alway correct. Spending more time on a question has never paid off. If you know you know it, if you don’t know it move on and answer the next question that might be so easy.
