Has anyone had a Donjoy Trom brace? I am 10 months post op and nothing hurts, PT is done and over and I just requested a brace so I could start back running and cycling. They called today and said my brace is ready and told me I need to get fitted for the Trom.
I feel like this is a very restrictive brace compared to other DonJoy athletic braces.
What did you wear when you were getting more active? (This is my 2nd ACL recon)
I have a don joy defiance 3 it is worth every penny, I had quad atrophy and they take that into consideration when they are fitting, and when it broke they sent me new parts, (it broke because I wore it in the surf and didn’t rinse the sand out enough)
I have a Donjoy Defiance as well. My surgeon recommended for the first 6 mos to a year just when I play tennis. He said strength takes awhile and research shows that reinjury can occur when you are not mentally confident. So he said the brace might help with the mental part at the beginning. I am 13 mos PO
