I have been hired as LAS FY2 in urology.
They have been wanting me to cover the clinic and do oncalls (registrar level) and handling their bleep.
I have been confused about my duty as FY2 and they are not clear about my responsibilities and also my duty hours.
I’m gonna start oncall but it’s going to be at a registrar level ( handling referral and emergency cases ) and consultant will be oncall with me at home.
This is my first job in NHS and first time working in this department and they never had SHO doctor before so they are confused about my role.
Can someone please guide me ?
Ps: I have done one year of internship and 1 year of OBGYN as ST1.
