I wanted to let people know who use the ice machine buy 12oz water bottles and freeze them. We put 4-5 frozen bottles in it and fill to water line. Then keep back up bottles in the freezer to swap out. You won’t spend money on ice and you won’t need to drain excess water. I also bought a outlet plug that you can plug it into with a remote and I turn it on and off with remote. Comes in handy when you don’t have someone with you and want to ice and don’t want to get up. Lol Has been a life saver at night when I don’t want to wake up my wife.
i do the same exact thing. it was recommended by my nurses. it’s so much easier to freeze the water bottles than to deal with ice. and i also keep extra stocked so i never run out. thanks for posting. i live with the ice machine it does wonders. i’m 10 days post op.
