In thin PCOS patients ratio of E1 and E2 increases or remains unchanged?
but adipose tissue is the main reason why PCOS patients ( esp. obese) have higher E1. But in case of thin patients we don’t have much higher adipose tissue, so shouldn’t it be somewhat unchanged?
excessive androgen is the main reason not excessive adipose tissue
The ratio is reversed. E2 decreases and E1 is increased.
Normal E2:E1 = 2:1
In PCOS its 1:2
More e1 is secreted
Ratio is reversed E1:E2 = 2:1
